Is the laser ranging implemented ?

I couldn't find any reliable information about current state of atflir laser ranging. I usually do manual lase prior to designate targets but does it make designation more accurate? or pod just knows every building, elevation, etc magically. In the F15E, there are AGR and laser ranging. I know that f/a18c has agr too.

Thx for answer Hobel. I lased a building and saw that elevation and coordinates changing slightly. thats an important nuance for jdam. glad to see that works as intended.
