Recently i build a new frame for my setup in combination with an base shaker plate.

This plate has also mounting holes for the LFE version of Buttkicker.

On the site of Buttkicker the LFE version is more for home entertainment and not mentioned in the gaming section.

Is the Buttkicker LFE good for DCS or should i wait for the Buttkicker Gamer Pro?

Any haptic feedback is a nice addition for a rig. LFE unit is very expensive, you might have a better solution budgetwise with the regular gamer pro or mini unit.

But I know LFE is very popular among simracing users.

I have two LFEs running from a 750w amp and they are superb. 🙂 Crown XLS 2502 amp.

I don't know if there are other ways to set them up but I run mine from a dedicated soundcard (CL Fatality). Audio runs from the mobo.

The frame i have is the Monstertech MTS cockpit. (not a light construction)

The base shaker plate has also mounting holes for the LFE.

Therefore i am thinking about buying the LFE.

But the LFE is sold without an amplifier.

Do i need an amplifier with usb connection to the pc, for working with the Simshaker software?

In a couple topics on the net, they mentioned DSP. Must the amplifier be an DSP version?

So far i found some amplifiers they use with the LFE. But i am not sure if its with an home-cinema set or in combination with an pc. (or with an usb connection)

- Buttkicker Power Amplifier BKA1000-P        (but some owners of theLFE say they get better results / quality from another brand amplifier)

- Berhinger NU6000DSP   (Bit overkill but maybe in future adding some more butkickers)

- Crown Xti4002

I run outputs from a dedicated soundcard (CL Fatality) into my amp and outputs from the amp to the LFEs.

Berhinger amps are very popular again, among simracers. Not cheap though.

I run 3 buttkicker LFE mini on my simrig. 2 under the seat and 1 at the front of my pedals.

They work very fine for me. They are bassshakers and do what they should do.

Just bought the LFE.

Now i have to find the right amplifier.

Do i need an amplifier with usb connection to the pc, for working with the Simshaker software?

Wich amplifier is recommended?

no, the amp will go to input connection of a external or secondary soundcard.
No USB.

It seems next to impossible to find any kind of sound card with RCA outs these days. I searched quite hard when I thought I was screwed for getting my rather old Fatality working with the latest windows. Fortunately I found a genius had created an entire pack of all the old software and made it compatible. 🙂

Maybe this would do it...USB/Toslink out of your PC into this converter, out of the converter (RCA) into your amp. What amp did you get?

Link's vanished. Do a search for: USB DAC Audio Converter.

well to simplify things just get the seperat Buttkicker amp, they still do sell just the amp right? if you did get an amp like a Behringers DSP would be a good thing. that way you can put a high pass / low pass filter on it.. I have a gamer 2 buttkicker and just use the amp that was supplied with it..

I think it´s easier finding an amp with 3,5mm jack input, and then RCA output

So that would mean running a 3.5mm from the onboard sound? Then headphones from the amp and RCA from the amp too, to the shakers? My amp (Crown XLS 2502) doesn't have headphone out, so that wouldn't work in my case. Is there a high-power amp that'll take 3.5mm as an input?

Thank you all.

I went for the Behringer NX6000DSP.
