Hello,

I've just created a new problem. :D

I have a multiplayer mission with 5 client-choppers on the airbase. Now I create a new FARP and set one helicopter on the FARP and then set it to "start-from-parking-position" it snaps to the FARP.

But when joining this helicopter later, it is not correct positioned. It is on the FARP but not on the pad and the front wheel is broken/in the upper position.

This is here reproducable.

As soon as I delete one of the 4 airbase choppers the chopper on the FARP is correct located on the FARP-pad.

Verry annoying.

Heliport 3 - with missalignment.

Heliport 2 - One chopper deleted - no missalignment.

Both have same coordinates in the mission file.

EDIT: I have a MP-Mission with 3 chopped choppers at a FARP and there is the problem that if all 3 spawn, they spawn in each other and explode immidiately on spawn. I think this bug should be investigated if its not known yet.

EDIT2: This is funny, each time I spawned one of the bugged choppers the start position moved more away from the FARP. Until I got to a hill where the spawned chopper immidiately got killed. (see 2nd picture)

Actually I've seen the same behaviour when placing choppers on a FARP. I believe the cause for this is that many of the testers is used to own just one vehicle (I got only one car myself) so its a bit unusual to test several vehicles on the same parking.

But now that ED has been notified about this problem Im sure they can hire in 3 more pilots to sit on the pad while testing a complete FARP with all 4 spots occupied.

Will be looking forward to 1.0.1 :)

No, you don't even need to man the helicopters. The just need to be more than 4 helicopters aviable in a mission and then put a 5th on a FARP. Now just one player needs to select the 5th helicopter that starts at the FARP and you have the bug.

That part was a joke though ... about hiring extra pilots, cars and parking - was just cheering up the thread a bit with a lousy attempt of humor ;)

Yeah, I know it was a joke but I wasnt sure if its clear that the bug occurs even when 1 client took the ka50. Not 5 clients needed.

BTW, I dont think it is a mission editor bug cause the coordinates seem fine in the mission file. Looks like the engine doesnt place the ka50 right.

PS: I think the sound bug/problems and the "other clients seems to have gear up but standing on gear" bugs are known?

ROb,

Its a bug as far as I'm concerned, I had the same problem with one of my Multiplayer missions. A workaround if you really want to use the airfield is to place a FARP on your heliport and have the original 4 spawn there, all spawns on other farps should then work fine.

The other thing I hope the fix in patch is all of the triggers for multiplayer, especially messaging.

Also another problem I have seen is where u have a convoy hidden and time held. If another convoy passes that position they vear off road around supposedly invisible convoy or just stop.

As I say I hope they have worked out the multiplayer bugs out as for me its the best part of the game.

Did I get you right, I shall not use the airfield as spawn. Instead of that I shall position FARPs near the AF and place the helis there? Is that right?

Yes, correct. You can of course place the FARP on the airfield, a good place would be next to the control tower. You do however still need to place FARP vehicles within 150m for re-arming and refueling whilst you are parked on the FARP. If you take-off from FARP and land anywhere on the airfield then re-arming/refueling etc works as usual.

If you have more than 4 chopers you need to make another farp LZ to take care of this problem. I have a base map I creat all my missions from and have 8 KA-50s waiting. have had 8 guys in sever with no problems.
