Volumetric lights

So far I could only discover volumetric lights when bombs explode and my helicopter’s search light. However, in the videos I notice a lot more volumetric lights. Like the after burner and even beacon lights etc. 
 

So I’m wondering: is the current release a work in progress version?

The volumetric light is there. For example, go fly into a cloud or thick fog with the afterburner and you'll see it

I tried using the Phantom, nothing happened. But if you see it, then my bad, I’ll have to experiment more.

yea its definately there, try a carrier take off in the fog with a wingman and watch when he spools up into reheat.  

Nice effect.
