New fog problem with masking smoke and fire effects

Is this working as intended?

More noticable when flying above the fog, the smoke effect sometimes doesn't blend in. It could use a bit of tweaking

Fog set to around 30 000ft visibility, 656ft thickness

Same conditions, but no fog. Smoke blends in more naturaly here

Seen the same. Smoke looks ok when you are inside the fog, but if you watch it from outside, it looks unaffected by it.

Looks like the fire/smoke is being drawn in front of the fog rather than at the right distance behind it.
