remus77 Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 (edited) Today we are releasing a manual fix for the F-4E FROG-7 and FROG-7 CA Campaigns. This update resolves the taxiing issues caused by pathing changes for multiple missions within the campaign. While a future patch will have these changes applied automatically, we wanted to issue a fix for those who have been patiently waiting and were wanting to fly the campaign immediately. Attached is a zip file containing a nested 'mods' folder that you should paste into your base DCS folder (not saved games). This should properly nest the following folders and files afterward. Thank you all for your patience and hope you thoroughly enjoy the campaigns as intended. Stay tuned for news about future campaigns sometime soon. frog7_Jan2025_update.zip Edited January 13 by remus77 4 3

It was originally supposed to be in the previous one already but it unfortunately missed the upload deadline by a day. 1 1

WWSmith Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) I just flew Mission 4 today, and the two lead planes tried to take off on a heading other than the runway heading, with the results seen below. I'm guessing that the fixed missions didn't make it into the Christmas Eve update, and the hotfix got overridden? Edited December 29, 2024 by WWSmith

Mike_CK Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I had that same issue when the campaign first came out so shouldn’t be anything new. Mission 1 (or whatever the one is where you bomb the Syrian HQ in Damascus) my wingman can’t get out of his parking space without hitting the revetment wall and blowing up. I have NOT tried this hot fix yet but that did occur after the last Dec 24 patch I believe. ill give this hotfix a shot. BTW, I’m really hoping this mini campaign gets made into a full campaign. Between the mig-21, F-4 and Syria/Sinai maps, the game is begging for a full Yom Kippur campaign (id prefer Sinai theater but beggars and choosers and all that

Enjoy this little mini-campaign, which sets the mood for the larger, free campaign coming a bit later - Days of Atonement, following events of the Yom Kippur War. No info on what map it will use though. F-16C || F/A-18C || A-10C || F-4E || Mig-21bis || M-2000C Syria -- Kola

This will be included in the next patch but for those who want to get in on the action now can do so with the updated file as seen in the original post. 3

I've been meaning to start the campaign but wanted to wait for this to get fixed. Thanks for not having us wait for the official patch! Hey Sunbather. I did do a slight quality of life improvement and replaced that file. If you downloaded it already just do it one more time. Sorry about that. 1

The link at the top will have that solution for you. 1
Nikwax74 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 In the same mission (Homs strike) there is a shed on the left side of the taxiway next to RWY 33 with an F4 in it (basically as you stop for hold short it will be on your left). The plane needs to be rotated 90 degrees, as now its nose is sticking through the wall. 1 Intel Pentium Pro 233MHz - 32 MB Ram - 3dfx Voodoo II
