ssamayoa Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 If you remove your headset even for a fraction of a second (scratch your forehead for example) the game stuck. Or image you are in a multiplayer server, land to rest for few minutes or need to go to the bathroom - impossible! That happens with Quest 2 and 3 with cable and airlink, maybe same fate on other devices.

les Posted January 1 Posted January 1 We used to have this problem, I'll try to remember how we solved it. I think the basic settings in the headset might have done it- set the behaviour to never sleep. Then although the screens go black, it stays live and doesn't crash.....

For link/airlink, either use a bit of tape to cover the proximity sensor, or use sidequest/meta development hub to disable the proximity sensor entirely. Then set the headset sleep setting to as long as possible. You may need to disable the prox sensor after every headset reset if not using tape. If using tape it needs to be white masking tape to work right, as it must be somewhat reflective. Edited January 1 by MoleUK
