rws Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 (edited) I'm observing update failing, and repair failing. Update fail appears to be related to "ERROR: UNPACK_FAIL: (9412)->[HashError: Hash mismatch" with "STATUS: Transfer error. Please, check your firewall/antivirus settings." I have checked AV with no reported issues, and watched traffic from the host machine with no blocked outbound traffic showing in the firewall logs. I've attempted to delete the files related to Hash Mismatch and restart the update, but the error persists. Repairing results in the error: "Version 2.9.10.3948 is not available. Consider updating." Any recommendations for next steps? autoupdate_templog_202412300130_RepairFail.txt autoupdate_log_20241230_UpdateFail.txt Edited December 30, 2024 by rws Reattached uploaded files to avoid interfering with text formatting.

rws Posted December 30, 2024 Author Posted December 30, 2024 Hello, Thank you for the feedback and suggestions. Microsoft Defender Antivirus is disabled. I had previously downloaded the new DCS_Updater.exe to "J:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin" "J:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin" does not exist in the OpenBeta directory after a fairly recent update, maybe a couple months ago. Running the update now from "J:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_Updater.exe" so we'll see how it goes! Thanks again, rws nullnull

Tazer83 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 So in the end I had to turn off the Real time Protection, Windows defender, private networks to OFF and it installed fine. The Pure Client message came back after a couple of games on the Online Server. Seems my problem is I pushed my Ram up from 6400mhz to 6800mhz before this happened yesterday and when it happened again today I turned the clock back down to 6400mhz and the Pure Client message has vanished. Hope this helps out some poor bugger in need of a fix.
