For me, the ME is acting very strange lately.  When I type or try to click on an object and move it, I have SUPER lag!  Anyone else experiencing this??

I've tried...

off-line mode;  still lags badly

checking performance with Task Manager; no bottle-necks nothing even close to being maxed out

tried a different very small test mission; same - laggy

tried to do a CLEAN and FULL REPAIR; same - laggy

made sure Windows is updated

NVDIA drivers up to date

looked at other programs; NOT laggy including MS WORD, Internet, etc.

Any ideas???? Should I reinstall DCS ??  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Not specifically ME related advice, but try deleting your FXO and METASHADER2 folders in your SAVED GAMES file.

Reinstall rarely does more than full repair with delete extra files, but you could try.

Also, if you have any MODS installed (check your SAVED GAMES folder, repair should have removed any in the game folder) try it without them.

You are not alone, its a laggy mess since MT indroduced. I could write a book with everything that is laggy and what you need to do to make DCS kind of work 😄

To run DCS, I need to do the minimum: reduce your Mouse refresh rate to 500mhz, remove half of your CPU Cores via affinity, and buy at least 32GB RAM and a Graphics Card with at least 12 GB RAM. Eveny my 4090 with 24gbvram is full loaded on some maps

Same issue, MT gets laggy while mission editing. This is with a small amount of units or large. I notice it more in full screen. Same issue after full repairs and with and without mods.

The ME has become unbearably glitchy & laggy and I just had to force-quit DCS from the task manager because the map in the ME would not let go of my right mouse button. No matter what I tried, everywhere I dragged my mouse the map moved with it and I could not activate any buttons within the ME.

Log and MIZ attached.

Edit: Hmm, after writing this post I noticed DCS was waiting for me to respond if I really wanted to quit, so I said no and saved the progress of my mission, also attached as -00c.

Edit2: quit DCS, and uploaded a new log file dsc2.log
