jackd Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Joystick single button triggering multiple functions? Probably asked before, but it might be useful with individual planes to have (a script editing option?) more than one function for a sequence of events happening when you press one button on your joystick. Example, press a button and with say a Mosquito the bomb-doors open, bombs are fused, and maybe also dropped with some editable delay. 1
gonvise Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Voice attack for example; although we generally use it for voice recognition, has this useful function as well, both executing several commands in a row by pressing a button on the joystick and even by holding it for a certain duration or pressing it twice in a space of time (like in the A10). 1 2
MAXsenna Posted January 8 Posted January 8 You don't have a gaming keyboard by chance @jackd ? They usually comes with software that can easily do that. I have two Razer Cynosas connected, and they have individual key lighting, so it's even very easy to know what key to press. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 1
jackd Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 (edited) Max, i do, must look into that. Steelseries Apex Pro, but i never bothered looking into their software, you made me curious now. thnx. Meanwhile i started messing with my Streamdeck. Tried the stuff i found on DCS for that but could not get to terms with the findings. However using their Elgato Marketplace plugins for System (default) and those from Barraider (supermacro plugin) i got that to work a wee bit sofar. Edited January 11 by jackd 1

jackd Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 (edited) I just installed the Steelseries software, but it's kind of sh*tty with far to much advertising for mostly shooters only incorporated. LoL, even sent them a support ticket asking about a straight non advertising version. Multi keypresses seems possible, but right now i am trying out the Streamdeck route with their System and Barraider SuperMacro plugins, got a few things working for the Mosquito. ADDED: Spent quite some time experimenting for the DCS mosquito and Streamdeck ... tips and suggestions welcome. IMO in general about Streamdeck: The System and even barraider plugins seem the best way, the other found solutions like TARGET, gaming keyboard tools, that fabulous command injector (for Streamdeck only?) are maybe too complicated for me. If you don't have a Streamdeck the gaming keyboard tools might be a solution if you have one. PS i have been experimenting with my Steelseries apex pro keyboard and macros. Not very simple and user friendly system. The same problems as with Elgato Streamdeck, Win keys like LWIN and RWIN will not pass through into DCS. IMO a windows isuue maybe with defender against malware macros. Seems a problem already in 2017. (Elgato support is now looking in to it, i ran a testing report tool they sent me).
