firefox121 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Thinking maybe an overheating cpu?, try also to disable tacview , it is a known undesired effects app . Grodin Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Is this in VR or monitor? If on monitor just an idea have you limited fps or vsync on? If not, having unlimited fps with vsync off there is nothing limiting the framerate which will cause the cpu to work 100% in menus because its pushing as many frames as it can like 500 fps. This is normal and can be avoided by limiting the fps to something sensible like 100 or whatever you like. Edited January 14 by Grodin Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity.

The FPS, even when stable, will vary and sometimes go up to 91 FPS. If you limit your FPS within DCS settings, you should limit at 95 FPS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 9800X3D, RTX 4090, 96GB DDR 5, MSI Tomahawk 870E, Crucial 2TB x 2, TM WARTHOG COMBO + PENDULAR RUDDER PEDALS, THE AMAZING PIMAX 8K X, Sony 5.1 Spks+SubW | DCS, A-10C_II, AH-64D, F-14/15E/16/18, F-86F, AV-8B, M-2000C, SA342, Huey, Spitfire, FC3.
jnr4817 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I have PCL, 9800x3d, 4090. Modest OC. 64g ddr5 6200. Using QV with settings that save me 60% of pixels. maxed DCS settings. DLSS Quality. Using 72hz and have set my dcs fps to 75. Runs smooth, no stutters, no ghosting, no smearing. Looks beautiful. If I use DLAA only, with current dcs settings, i get 68-70 fps and have major stutters and dips. I have sharpening at max in qv. My NVCP settings are per VR4DCS blog. I came from a G2. I'm pretty happy with my visual experience. 1 9800x3d|64 GB 6200|4090|m.2 x2 http://www.blacksharkden.com/ Come join us!
sleighzy Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) Your DCS log says you're on version 2.8.6.41066 (really old). Try upgrading to the latest version. The latest version will mean that you'll be using the multithreaded version, which may help with the CPU issues you're seeing. Right now this was being masked when attempting to help as assumptions were made that you were using multithreaded when you weren't. Make sure to create an exclusion in your anti-virus software for your entire DCS installation directory for this. Also delete the fxo and metashaders2 folders after the upgrade. With regards to being on the latest version; single threaded version has been removed now as well, and your "E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe" --force_steam_VR" short cut does not need "--force_steam_VR" as everything is now using OpenXR. After my tests I enable quadviews on DCS so my settings now are. So my Computer now is better and the quality is better than ever. I still concern for the CPU0 and I dont know if I can do something for that maybe lasso ??

Ahh, looks like you've attached a log from 2023-06-15 ... maybe you have two DCS Saved Games folder (one for DCS and one for DCS.openbeta)? So yes, the old log showed that version. Might need to attach the latest log from the right place. Also from your screenshots you're using the PimaxPlay Quad Views. The Tallymouse Quad Views Companion app does not control the settings for that. It only updates the settings for Mbucchia's Quad-Views-Foveated. Probably I messed up the things....Do you believe I have to uninstall the Mbucchia's Quad-Views-Foveated completely ????

Given you're using PimaxPlay's, I would. Removes any potential problems or masking of issues. EDIT: the logs show that this isn't installed anyway so nothing to do here.
