silent one Posted January 26 Posted January 26 On the T pod and especially in the mavs I find my ministick very imprecise. On other planes I can glide straight onto a target. In this plane I have no precision. it swoops past very fast . Jumps, or just refuses to move at times. The stick on my Virpil throttle and the mini on my VKB stick both have the same issues. Its not a curve thing. Ive set that on all my planes and choppers. But on this plane its really rough. Any ideas?
BJ55 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Unfortunately there's not much you can do, other than tweak axis settings. I7-12700F, 64GB DDR4 XMP1 3000MHz, Asus Z670M, MSI RTX 3070 2560x1440 60Hz, TIR 5, TM WH VPC base, TM rudder, Win10 Pro
whurst1 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 See if this helps: Most aircraft I use 19-100-100-40 both axes, except on the F-15C i use 19 -100-40-0 both axes, these are curves on my ministick, then tweak from there. Good luck! 55" HD Samsung, ASUS Z590 ROG Maximus Hero XIII, MSI RTX 4070TI Gaming X Slim 12GB GDDR6X, Intel i5 11600k, Corsair 64 GB RAM

I reduced the sensitivity of my Winwing's Mini-stick, sacrificing speed for better control, however I'm sure many players prefer faster slew rates. One thing to watch out for with the AV-8B is to include a centre dead zone as, if there is a residual slew input on one axis, it can/will stop the other axis responding (hence why an axis might "refuse to move at times"). The size of the required centre dead zone depends on how precise the mini-stick is in returning to it's centre position - for the mini-stick of my Winwing F-15EX Throttle, a value of +/- 2 is sufficient (OTOH an aging xbox controller requires a huge dead zone). silent one Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Thanks for the input guys. Its a little better. Nothing like as good as other planes like the hornet or A10. The IR Mav is particularly bad. It seems to jam on invisible objects on the map and constantly tries to lock onto fences and makes it useless near a road. Strangely when it locks on a vehicle the cross is to the right of the vehicle. Seems to be a visual bug. Ramsey, that deadzone idea helped quite a bit. Im getting less of those strange lockups now. TBH not very impressed with rasbams work on this one.
