AhSoul Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Hey, I'm running my Quest 3 at 72hz and both my OpenXRTK FPS counter and the DCS FPS counter tops out at 72, even though I assume at times it must be rendering over that. Is it possible to get it to show what the game is actually rendering, so I can see how much headroom I've got for tweaking? I assume this should be possible.... I've got the FPS target slider in DCS set all the way to 300, no throttling set in OpenXRTK, and Vsync off in DCS. Cheers! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Soul's pit thread
speed-of-heat Posted February 2 Posted February 2 look at the frame time latency at 72hz you will need to produce a frame time of 1000/72 = 13.89, if you were producing frame time of 12ms that would give you 864 out of a potential 1000 giving you 136ms "extra" or about 13% SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
