Rudel_chw Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Hello all, I have a small doubt: as currently simulated, in order to raise the landing Gear after take-off, I need to clear first the security lock of the handle, and only then the gear will retract. However, when coming back to land, the security lock can be ignored and the Landing Gear lever can be lowered with just a click on it. My doubt: is this as per the real aircraft? or it is a DCS simplification to help newcomers during the landing phase of the flight? This aspect is stated on the manual, so it is not a bug, but I just wan't to be sure if this represents the real aircraft or not: Thanks a lot for any help with this Eduardo For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Volator Posted February 11 Posted February 11 The gear lock is there to avoid accidentally retracting the landing gear when the aircraft is on the ground. 2 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

So, in the real MiG-21 you don't need to touch the lock when landing? Volator Posted February 12 Posted February 12 No, it's only a safety thing for the ground. It needs to be put back in after landing 1 1 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

For some reason, the button to mark your post as solution does not show up Bedt regards, Eduardo 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
