ARFF1Tampa Posted February 22 Posted February 22 (edited) I can't get this to trigger even though I'm at that in last trigger and flying towards next WP. Guess I'll learn Tacan Nav as drift might be the problem. Where on the F10 map do I need to be? Don't want to skip mission. Thank you. Edited February 22 by ARFF1Tampa
Reflected Posted February 22 Posted February 22 There's no zone that you need to be in, just at the right altitude. Have you set your altimeter properly? Send me a screenshot of your message history menu please. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
ARFF1Tampa Posted February 25 Author Posted February 25 I probably did not set it properly. I think the maneuvers only triggered one time (out of about 7 for me). I'll look up videos of how to do that (look at altitude of base above sea level and set?) and re-try as I like to learn to do everything (make notes) and have plenty of time. How do I get message history menu file? (if I still have problems I will do that). Thank you for responding. I really appreciate your work and adherence to accuracy.
Reflected Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) Check the ATIS and set the altimeter accordingly. Also it’s 450 KIAS not TAS. Also, send a screenshot of your gauges when it’s not triggering hut you think it should. the message history cna be opened by hitting escape then message history. I need to see the last few lines. ARFF1Tampa Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 Here's the requested. Still doing the same even after flying this way for a few minutes plus. Thank you. Closer look @ gauges. 1
Reflected Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) Thanks for the screenshots! I'm seeing 380 knots...remember, aerodynamics don't care about true airspeed, but indicated airspeed. That's what matters for maneuvers. TAS is for navigation. Edited February 28 by Reflected Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Solution ARFF1Tampa Posted February 28 Author Solution Posted February 28 Ok thank you. Shifted the view to see True Airspeed and was going by that. I'll try it again. Actual Dial is a bit hard to read (understand) for me being new. I'll research that dial too. Thanks again. Closer look @ gauges.
DarkTempest Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Interesting. I had this same issue last night. When it didn't trigger I was cross checking my speed from the f10 map, which matched the ras not the dual. Ill try again today
ARFF1Tampa Posted March 30 Author Posted March 30 (edited) Reflected's solution was correct. Now I just need that Sabre to take of on next mission. Thought I did all the checks first time but will retry. Then, on the second, a helicopternull (big Sea Stallion looking) was pulled out and stopped on the taxiway just after ground stop check, never moved and we couldn't taxi around it. LOL. Reflected Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Do you have any mods installed? Removed them, and in any case, run a slow repair. I just tested the mission, the helo landed and stayed well away from the taxiway. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
ARFF1Tampa Posted March 31 Author Posted March 31 (edited) No mods. And it's the first time it happened. I'll just try again. It was funny though. As it would turn front wheels and move maybe 15 feet every 10 minutes. Wanted to wait but just wasting fuel and time. No problem. I'm a bit of a completionist anyway and, if I don't get 100% I do it until I can. Don't mind learning and surely don't want to rush thru one of your masterpieces. I truly appreciate all the hard work and just got the P47. Built one for my Dad who always said "All I had growing up was a cardboard fort and a P47 Thunderbolt". The "Bag" Man because he was the one (only person there, did it for 40 years by hand to show clients before production) sample maker for Equitable Bag Company in NY (made all the shopping bag prototype samples for Macy's ect. for 40 years). Went back to Long Island and got it after he past away. Edited March 31 by ARFF1Tampa 2
Reflected Posted March 31 Posted March 31 (edited) That's a nice 47! BTW you can go for stored heading alignment because the mission is split into stages of separate mission files. INS degradation won't be a factor. Then you don't have to wait 15 minutes on the ramp. I'll also add a safeguard to prevent the helo from moving, just in case.
