SUHANG Posted February 26 Posted February 26 As The track shown, as long as I fire kh29, the helicopter engine would shut down. I guess it is simulating the inhale of the gas from the missile, which would cause the shut down of the engine. But How can I correctly fire it? Or it is a bug? the previous version of DCS world don't have this problem KH29 problems.trk
Solution razo+r Posted February 26 Solution Posted February 26 Best fired with at least 120kph of forward speed. The engines shutting down has been implemented since the release of the Black Shark 3 version, so quite a long time ago. Same happens if you fire too many small rockets without sufficient forward velocity.
LuseKofte Posted February 26 Posted February 26 What I do or rather say did , I has not flown it for a long while is if required hoover and find /lock the target, then transition to forward flight then fire. I do not know how fast you need to go but it never happened to me

Vital061270 Posted February 26 Posted February 26 (edited) It's called “pomp.” It's when rocket gases get into the engine air intake. Unguided rockets, or X-25, cause this problem when the helicopter is hovering or at low speeds Edited February 26 by Vital061270 1 ZAR_Magadan
