I have been experimenting to find the best clouds / weather effects for my training mission in Afghanistan, centred on Bagram, which is quite high and surrounded by very high mountains..... I wanted some nice clouds, in layers, with the enough coverage to look impressive, without noticeable layers and them coveriung the scenery too much and without them becoming part of the scenery .

So far, the ones I like are either too thick when you get above them or seem to narrow and defined in layers that dont look as realistic as they should.

Out of curiosity I looked in the .lua file and saw various values for stuff like coverage etc.

Does anyone have an understanding ( I guess people like Bandit 648 who made an excellent mod!) of how these values work and how to tweak them ?

For example, I found a great preset, but above one layer, pretty much all I could see was clouds and there were not gaps in lower layers.

Any help in understanding how this works and tips to tweak would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you want the clouds to look more realistic, you can also play with the wind settings to move the clouds more dynamically, making them look less static and more natural.
