Not sure if this is even possible as of right now but:

Working arresting systems for major airfields, such as the BAK-12 or -14? Those would really improve the immersion to be able to land with brake/hydraulics or similar malfunctions. There are (in Germany, for what I know) up to 4 arresting wires placed along the runway. Two approach end, and two departure end cables.

The first two cables are for the opposite direction, the last two cables for the current runway in use. If there is an aircraft in need to make an arrested landing, the tower would get the information in advance and inform the fire department for them to change the second approach cable for the runway in use as it is set up for the opposite direction - meanwhile in DCS you could simply add the possibility to add your own arrestment cables however you like to give the user more room of decision. Additionally, they could be used bidirectional, so the need to create a logic for setting it up to work for the correct direction doesn't really matter.

Departing traffic needing to abort, simply lower down their hook and get caught by the first or last departure end cable.

It has been requested a lot of times, hopefully ED will listen and implement it.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
