Michaelito Posted March 17 Posted March 17 "Hello everyone, I would like to know if there has been any issue with aircraft carrier landings after the latest update. After my Windows antivirus prevented me from flying for a few days (turns out it was Windows Defender blocking my module), now I'm doing the same procedure as before to land on the carrier, but the hook is not working. Is there a bug? Has anything been changed regarding landings? I’m not able to land at all. Can someone provide a solution? Thank you in advance!!!"
draconus Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Are you trying to land on one of the supercarriers (CVN-71,72,73,75) which you don't have a license for? Try with CVN-74 John C. Stennis - this one is free. 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

I do have the Super Carrier module, but after formatting everything and installing it due to the Windows Defender issue, I haven't reinstalled the Super Carrier yet. I won't be able to fly until the weekend. As soon as I try what you mentioned, I will update you on the results. Thank you very much."
Michaelito Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 Thanks for the heads-up. What you told me is absolutely true. I've checked it, and that's it. Thanks so much for answering. Summary of what happened: When updating, Windows Defender leaves the F14 module like a virus. The solution is to stop Windows Defender from working with DCS. Not understanding what was happening, I completely deleted DCS. I reinstalled DCS and the F14 module. When using the carriers from the Super Carrier module, which I have but didn't install after the installation, it doesn't work. The carrier is physically there, but when landing on the deck, it doesn't lock the landing cable with the hook. Summary: The Super Carrier won't work unless you install it. I thought that if you don't have the module, you can't physically install it in the SIM, but it does allow you to install it, but it's not functional. Thanks for the help, and I hope this summary helps someone.

The free Stennis has "always" been there. Do you have any mods in Saved Games? Lots of mods are outdated and conflicting with DCS now. For the future. There's no reason to uninstall anything. That's a waste of time. To get your installation back to plain vanilla. Rename the DCS Saved Games folder and perform a full slow repair. You need to rename Saved Games folder as a repair doesn't touch Saved Games. Cheers!

They are in the core game, you don't have to install them to see them or place in the mission but you can't spawn or land on them until you install the Supercarrier module. 2 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
