Dear ED team,

Lately i have updated DCS to the new update and program becomes unplayable.

Noticing slow reaction times at menus, system hanging and unable to close dcs in taskmanager so had to restart pc.

If i can get to a mission , once in the dcs , low jumping fps and finally hangs , resulting in unplayable situation.

Had no hardware changes whatever, if i go back to earlier version , all is solved and back to smooth 60 fps all the time.

I have attached all logs for 3 situations and i hope you can recreat at your end?

thanks for help

brgds Maks

1: "2025-03-22 06:04:30.930 WARNING EDCORE (Main): CPU HAS PARKED LOGICAL CORES (this can be source of stuttering and reduced performance especially on hybrid CPUs with P/E-cores)" unpark your cores (damned Microsoft/Intel).

Hi BJ55,

1/ i think this is mentioned in the 2.913.6818.2 update , because never unparked cores before and still it runs perfect on this version , no problems at all

for 2.914.8222 i unparked the cores and all is messed up , even if i park them

2/ i just installed the new version of nvidia driver ........new dcs log attached , so 2.914.8222 , no mods, cores unparked, new nvidia driver

dcs and pc hangs on start up , cannot ctrl+alt+del for accesing task manager, had to restart pc

dont understand .....

2.914.8222 without mods,unparked cores ,new nvidia driver,still hangs.log

Ops, sorry, I've opened the wrong log.

I see a "ERROR   Launcher (Main): [string "Config/MonitorSetup//2 screens.lua"]" and "ERROR   LuaGUI (Main): [string "Config/MonitorSetup//2 screens.lua"]"  , have you tried renaming saved games/DCS folder and see if the issue persists?

There are warning/error notifications in Windows event viewer?

Looks like I have the same problems after last update

Game hangs on missions. Mind you, I am not talking about stutters, or micro stutters at all. I am talking about MINUTES of game freezes (or hang-ups) sometimes even at frikin' mission planner screens but mostly during gameplay. Did a repair and latest nVidia driver and got stuck again this time on mission briefing screen. Stuck so bad I had to do a hard-reboot. Something is off with my DCS…🙁

...Or with NVidia! No crashes/hangs here with 552.44, only stutters due to high CPU/RAM usage in some areas.

You're much more likely to get meaningful answers if you post your DCS log file.  Do you have ANY mods installed?  There are a number of them causing issues after the last update.

Like Rob says, post your DCS.log
And you can perform a full repair and rename the DCS folder in Saved Games to reset the game back to vanilla. If that helps, there is either a corruption in one of the settings, and/or you have conflicting mods installed.
Cheers!
