Hey!

I'm not one to post on forums or social media nearly ever, but I feel like I had to just say this.

This is probably the most fun in DCS I've actually had in years.

Reflected, I can't thank you enough for, I'm sure, the countless hours and hard work that went into this campaign. From the voice acting, mission design, the startup procedure, just everything. It's been such an engaging, interesting, well written and enjoyable ride from the very start to the very end.

I think I have to especially say thank you to the voice actors and the writers for this campaign. One thing I do find somewhat lacking in other campaigns is the voice acting, and this one easily sets the bar way higher than the others that I've so far played. Really, really awesome job all around!

I have checked your other campaigns, and I've seen that you have previously done mostly older airframe campaigns, which isn't usually my area of interest. However, I think in the future I'll be picking up the F-4E campaigns you've done.

I really do hope, if it's something that interests you in the future, that you do more campaigns for modern airframes, but even if you don't, the enjoyment I've gotten out of this campaign has been amazing. If you do end up doing more modern airframe campaigns, you definitely have an instant buy from me.

There are a COUPLE of things I suppose I could add for constructive criticism, but I'd like to preface by saying it didn't take away my enjoyment at all.

1) The DRYAD page was only used in a couple of missions, and I was a little disappointed it didn't make more of an appearance.

2) Mission 7 spoilers

Spoiler

I found it a little disconnected that our boy Kagnet was seldom mentioned after mission 7, no one seemed to care as much as I did that he went down. Our boy deserved more!

But I digress, all in all again, such an awesome experience. I bought the Kola map for this campaign alone, and like buying a PS3 for Bloodborne, I don't regret it with a single atom in my body.

If you read this Reflected, thanks so much. Once again I appreciate all the effort and detail that went into this campaign. It really pushed my skillset and quickly made me a better F-16 and general virtual pilot. Now onto the F-18 version!

All the best, and once more thanks again,

Nervous

Hey, thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing your feedback. I'm more of an analog guy, the F-16 is the furthest forward in history that I ever dared to venture. Maybe one day I'll do another, but now I'm back to WW2 and the cold war 🙂

You're right about the DRYAD, and I thought about where I could use it, but it's the first stage of the war where CAS kind of situations happened, in the latter part it's mostly pre planned strikes with large packages, so no need to ID yourself.

About Kanget, did you read the briefings? I thought I mentioned him a few times there, and he also comes up in missions 9 and 10.

Anyhow, enjoy the Hornet version, and thanks again!

Hey, I'm glad you read this! I'm just waking up so apologies if this one is a little less coherent.

A little sad to see you going back to cold war and WW2 for now, but I wouldn't want you to chase something you're not passionate about, and either way I think Cold War is something I can dip my toes in 🙂

Makes total sense with the DRYAD too, I didin't consider how it would be irrelevant with pre-planned.

And with Kanget, I did indeed read every briefing, I think just for me it was the lack of mention through dialogue, while he was quickly mentioned by Dawg in mission 9, I thought some more of the crew would be throwing out words of remembrance for him. I did just play mission 10 last night and don't remember his mention, but I very well could have just missed it in all honesty.

But thanks for reading anyway, I don't think I can add any more!

Much love and hope you're well,

Nervous
