TED Posted April 24 Posted April 24 After getting my new quest pro, do far really enjoy it except for the comfort issue after playing for a while. Especially noticeable on the forehead with a lot of the pressure building up there. Does anyone have any good recommendations for improving the comfort for longer sessions?
Mr_sukebe Posted April 24 Posted April 24 My solution was a set of 4 Zeitauto velcro straps. I strapped 3 side to side on the headset and they now happily carry the weight of the headset. They were also dirt cheap when compared to the normal commercial solutions. 1 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

Try detaching the rear pad, turn it upside down and reattach. This helps support the weight more on the top of your head and allows your eyes to get a bit closer to the lenses. I find it quite comfortable but it all depends on head shape etc. 9800x3d - rtx5080 FE - 64Gb RAM 6000MHz - 2Tb NVME - Quest Pro (previous rift s and Pico 4). The Quest Pro was the most uncomfortable headset I've ever owned, until I bought the Globular Cluster mod. I was having the same issue you've described, excessive head pressure which caused insta-headaches. With the Globular Cluster replacement components, that issue completely went away for me. 1 1 I wasn't banned, but this account is mostly inactive and not monitored.
Mordants Posted April 24 Posted April 24 +1 on the Globular Cluster mod fine investment on the original pads. TED Posted April 25 Author Posted April 25 Tried switching the rear pad around and that is definitely worse for me. Globular cluster seems like the go-to recommendation but they don't seem to sell anymore here on euroland!

TED Posted April 25 Author Posted April 25 Yep. Forgot to check other Amazon stores. Ordered now and hopefully that makes it a bit better.
TED Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 Managed to get hold of a globular cluster for the QP. Totally different experience now and solved all comfort issues. Very comfy to use now, so thanks to all those who suggested this as the solution. 1
