Easy to just drive-by poop-post and ask for one's favorite toy, but I feel like it's more fair to include a paragraph of justification and how it ties into DCS.

I fully understand CH has his hands full and there's already a lot of models in the pipeline, but I'll still start, especially as a thing that seems somehwhat absent.

Cold War SAMs and other units

RedEye, Blowpipe, Strelas on dudes, West German towed AA guns, et cetera.

These are sorely missing, and with DCS focusing on Cold War and the new map, they're more needed than ever. I hope they are soon included by someone, and would serve the game well in that timeframe. RedEye and Strela littered central europe during the seventies and eighties, and made sure that no pilot who would fly straight and level, unaware at the possibility of using his flight stick, at low altitude would be safe.

I do ask that other posts also include some justification.

ANyway, great asset pack so far!

Thank you! We try to find a useful and interesting mix of assets to add. 👍🏻

I'd love to see the Starstreak (STORMER HVM VSHORAD UK Asset) in DCS as several were given to Ukraine, so 2 countries would use them (and we Brits currently lack mobile SHORAD in game).

An immobile (but animated :-) prone Red-For & Blue-For medium machine gun/gunner behind a sandbag to provide cover / defend an area.

Something that can just be dropped somewhere - by a tree or maybe on a rooftop - has a small hitbox, doesn't get up and wander off under fire, and doesn't stick out like dogs' blocks.

Currently the nearest things are the bunkers and armed buildings, but none of them are subtle and they're also old & ugly Lockon level models.

Even if the 'no dispersal' switch worked, the infantry if set to stay & defend somewhere will still stand up & wait to be shot...

Just seen the British tanks in the list who really nicely will fit the German CW map brings up the Wiesel 1 in my mind for the West German site it's still used today and is especially interesting because it can easily be flown into combat per helicopter

One thing I've imagined as sorely lacking, both in technical versions as well as a static emplacement is any sort of recoilless rifle.

Having some sort of serious AT capability bolted to a technical while still having an insurgent unit look like an insurgent unit (nevermind actual nations using something like a static SPG-9), would fill a niche that I believe to be lacking in our current unit list.

I’ve thought the same, recoilless rifles would add that gritty authenticity and tactical depth, especially for asymmetrical factions. A technical with an SPG-9 would definitely hit that sweet spot between utility and believability..
