Hi Pilots,

I know there are a lot of posts on this but couldnt find a specific answer. I need to move my DCS Steam edition to a new drive. I understand the steam process to do (moved other games) but this question relates to the Saved Games folder in my system drive\user\Saved Games/DCS. I have mods, liveries, asset packs installed there, as well of course my sticks and panels LUAs, and Im not sure if they'll work after i made a steam move (I don't know if the Steam move process will actually move this folder too, although unlikely). I dont mind leaving the folder on the system drive as it's not that big but id like some advice whether it needs to be moved or not (if yes how).

'Saved Games' is a Windows special folder so DCS knows how to find it, even if you move the steam installation. So it does not need to be moved.

If you want to move the 'Saved Games' folder then you need to do it through the Windows dialog.
1. Create a current 'Saved Games' folder on the drive you want it moved to.
2. Right click on the Saved Games folder and select Properties.
3. Select the 'Location' tab and there you can click  the 'Move' button.
In the destination dialog that pops up, select the 'Saved Games' folder you created on the destination drive.
It will ask you if you want to move all the files inside - click yes.

AdrianL is correct. But the answer to your question is "No". You don't have to do anything. Just move DCS to your new Steam Library on your new drive through Steam, and everything will work. Steam doesn't care where your Saved Games are, the games themselves does, and they use the Windows Registry to find it.
