What's the hardest AI fighter to dogfight in your opinion?

Tried:

Su-27, F-16, F-14B, F-15C, Mig-29, and several others.

For a fox-2 fight, I'm not finding anything as challenging as the F/A-18, equipped with the AIM-9x.  The Su-27 is a close second IMHO.

If anyone has an opponent better than that, please LMK.

Yup, AIM-9X has the two-axis thrust-vectoring control which is not in other AIM-9 versions, and few planes can carry AIM-9x or similar missiles.

How do you define dogfight? 
To me, a dogfight is 1v1 guns only, mano a mano. 
 

First of all, if you find yourself in such a situation with the plane with the longest stick and radar of all - you’ve failed. 
 

However, I’ve found all planes, regardless of AI skill, quite easy to beat in the Tomcat B, except the Viper. Even if I drag him down and slow, the viper still is a challenge, though I almost always beat or draw. In general the AI doesn’t seem very clever and resorts to cheating ( I think) instead of outfighting.

Yeah, I used to 1v4 a pair of Flankers and Fulcrums in the Tomcat in gun fights.

I would define it as a turning fight with similar weapons. Either a gun only fight, or one with guns and fox 2's.  

Those are two different types of dogfights to me.

And yes, they are all kind of easy to beat, which is why I'm fighting guns only against the hornet equipped with the 9X. 

I have no problem with the viper. The Hornet is a way better opponent for this for me. 

ETA - gonna try the viper with 9x's and see how it goes.

That's something I also do to self-limit for more challenge. Try and stay OUT of burner while the plane whose control zone I'm in has to stay IN it.

Another way is to keep the bags on.

The tomcat is just so excellent at this.

Fair enough.

Then (for example):

F-18 v.s. F-14 no AIM-9x, just gun only.

F-18 v.s. F-16 with AIM-9x and gun.

GS makes lot of the dogfight video at YouTube. 

However, it's your dogfight, the matter to yourself is most important
