Individual Airbase / Airport DLC

Good day Eagle Dynamics,

I propose that you allow Custom Airbase content to be created on an individual basis similar to how ORBX and many other professional and hobby developers do.  It would be nice to have a way to install a full airbase as a complete module, not just a template that must be loaded in the mission editor.  A couple tool additions to the mission editor could make this a reality. 

- Save As Tool After someone builds a custom airport or airbase, instead of saving it as a template, give us a SAVE AS tool.  Something that will compile the custom library, add a Thumbnail and description, and then make it installable as an actual airbase that would show up as a module in the module manager.  Essentially a Custom scenery builder for the masses.   I think this would really open up DCS in the way that MSFS and X-plane have created a huge market.  Allow custom user airbase content, and purchasable Professionally created individual Airport and airbase DLC's.

That is the point of the post Mr. Dragon.  Requesting that ED create a tool for the public to use, that enables us to do this.  It is a multi-tiered request though, also asking for them to open up individual airbase sales.  The advantage of this are numerous:

• Quicker development time than full maps
• More detail and accuracy than a full map could provide across the board
• Smaller download size for those that only want a specific base
• Adding missing bases that did not fit into the Scope of existing map projects (Thinking about NAS Fallon, Edwards AFB, George AFB on NTTR, or similar on Caucuses, and also Normandy)
• More diversified revenue, more often
• Attracts additional quality developers that currently market in this method, military airbases, but for other platforms because DCS doesn't allow for it.
