Shimvolski Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I have been trying to fly some missions on the ah64 with the latest patch but I keep crashing to desktop and no crash log is produced by dcs. This can be 5 minutes into a mission or 40. Completely random, not pushing any buttons, just flying straight and level. I have done the log analyzer and have been following all the advice given which I have pasted below. Is there anyone else out there having random crashes after this week's patch? I am running on nvidia driver 566.36. I have attached my log. Thank you! Game Mode disabled, Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling disabled, Core Isolation disabled dcs.log

Shimvolski Posted June 2 Author Posted June 2 No crash log. I am seeing some other posts that crashing to desktop is occurring with others. Will wait to see if there is a fix.

Will wait to see if there is a fix. People’s DCS can crash to desktop for numerous reasons. If Windows is killing the process then it may be machine specific and something wrong with your PC. In which case there may not be a game fix. Run the Windows DxDiag tool, save the report, and attach it here as well. The log analyzer also had more items than the ones you listed there, eg turning off SSAO and SSLR, setting shadows to medium, etc. It also shows you have a custom mod. Have you removed all these mods, run a slow repair of the game, and deleted your Saved Games\DCS\fxo and metashaders2 folders as well? Shimvolski Posted Monday at 12:35 PM Author Posted Monday at 12:35 PM I will wait. My machine went from running dcs crash free to randomly crashing right after the patch. I know about the log analyzer advice and have been following it for months. I don’t run mods.
Shimvolski Posted Friday at 05:35 PM Author Posted Friday at 05:35 PM (edited) I ran a slow repair, erased metashaders and fxo again to see if anything changed. I had a crash after 5 minutes into a mission with the AH64D. I am attaching my dcs log again (no crash report). Also attaching DxDiag just in case it helps coders figure out what is causing the crash as I would like to be able to play the game again. I finally dcs.log-20250606-180325.zipgot a crash log! dcs.log Edited Friday at 06:08 PM by Shimvolski adding crash log

dutchili Posted Friday at 09:19 PM Posted Friday at 09:19 PM I experience the same thing with Nvidia 576.52. After the latest DCS patch...it's a matter of time, you just don't know how much time. No crash in DCS log, app hangs. When the app is windowed (while playing VR), i can usually sit it out and get control over windows in a few minutes. In full screen mode....automatic reboot (no BSOD).
