BuzzinChowski Posted Thursday at 08:38 AM Posted Thursday at 08:38 AM HI, I'm asking here because I wonder if this might be a setup of the plane in the mission rather than a 'module' problem. It happens in VR and 2d. On Mission 3 the pitch ladder is always shifted over to the left hand side of the HUD. Once you get used to it it's perfectly flyable just quite odd and takes your attention. Any ideas what can be done? Thanks, Paul
razo+r Posted Thursday at 09:38 AM Posted Thursday at 09:38 AM (edited) Looks like crosswind. What does the briefing say concering wind? And when you say it's always shifted to the left, even when you do a 180 degree turn? If yes, check your INS, alignement, INS switch, GPS etc. Edited Thursday at 09:39 AM by razo+r 2 1
BuzzinChowski Posted Thursday at 11:31 AM Author Posted Thursday at 11:31 AM The briefing says 6m/s - so I checked the wind at 0, 90, 180 & 270 - it does indeed seem to be the wind - i wouldn't have thought it was going to have that much effect. Thanks for pointing it out

Thanks for pointing it out Wind usually also has a direction, so 6m/s from somewhere, probably from about 180 based on your screenshot. Knowing the direction can help you with various things, flight planning, fuel saving, weapon delivery etc. And 6m/s are about 12 knots. The slower you are the bigger the effect. 1
Badger633 Posted Thursday at 03:10 PM Posted Thursday at 03:10 PM Hey @BuzzinChowski Yeah it is the crosswind pushing your ladder across. Just so you know you can centralise the ladder under these conditions by using the cage and uncage. Just remember you have done this as the velocity vector is then showing a false position. 1 F/A-18C Campaigns : The Serpent’s Head / The Serpent’s Head 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5.0Ghz / Gigabyte 2080ti water force extreme / 32 Gb RAM Corsair Dominator Platinum 3600 / 2Tb Samsung 970 Evoplus NVMe M.2 / Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas / Thrustmaster Pedals / Valve Index.
