TED Posted June 17 Posted June 17 I’m not sure if this is a bug or user error and these days the user base seems to be posting less and less. Anyway, I’ve been away from the f15 for a while and the last days getting back into it to see how it is. I was trying to use blu 107 on an airfield runway. Set to CDIP, R.SGL, N/T. I am carrying 12 bombs and dropping 6 at a time with intervals of 150’ set in the PACS. As far as I can see I’m following the manual and used to do this quite a bit. I fly a low level pass, pipper on the runway, it designates and appears to release. I see on the armament page 6 bombs have gone, I get the relevant hud release symbology and get a little kick in the haptic seat. As I bank around and check there are no explosions. I then checked the f2 view and lo and behold all bombs are still on the rack! I checked the track replay and see that they don’t actually drop. I don’t have the track file at hand right now so can’t attach it. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this, if it’s any known issue or if I’m missing something in the setup?
Ivandrov Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Works for me using your settings. Whenever you can get that track posted that would be helpful.
draconus Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Forgot to set Master ARM On? Any mods? One Durandal bug I know of is wrong impact point calculation - you'd have to aim for the end of the runway depending on alt. All the indications showed they'd dropped, which wouldn't have if not armed, so a real mystery! I did another run yesterday and this time they dropped although the impact point was well off as was the 200' interval I'd set. Edited June 19 by TED
Ivandrov Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) Yeah, it is not accurate at all. Probably due to the unique drop profile of the Durandal. You would have to workaround it, designate anywhere from near the middle to the end of the runway for best effect and forget about hitting your interval. Edited June 20 by Ivandrov
Novembre Posted July 6 Posted July 6 + The pipper is not accurate, the first bomb will land right under your jet, so as soon as the runway passed the jets ramps, you wanna smash that pickle button.
