VampireNZ Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) Option in Target List, perhaps at bottom of list - to just go ahead and engage and kill ALL the targets you are looking at - if suitable weapon selected of course. Example - 10x chaps with AK47's identified and listed...Gun selected - George feel free to waste all of those dude holding AK47s. I really don't think I should have to go through the whole process of searching and then commanding George to engage EVERY single soldier seperately one after the other ten times. I would sort of expect a mildly competant CPG to engage and kill all those targets himself if he has consent to Free Fire. If you, for some reason, don't want to kill AK47 baddie #10 cause you feel bad for his kids or something - just disable the free fire and make weapons safe. Obviously only with suitable serlected weapon - so he doesn't kill AK47 baddies then start plinking away at the T-72 sitting beside them with his gun for eternity... I would also like to see George searching for targets at say the selected target WP or ACQ as well - as opposed to me trying to pinpoint it with my head and telling him to search....the target area we are specifically headin to to kill targets....so you would think he kinda would be looking at the area already... Apache is a pretty great module - if only the CPG would act more like a qualified CPG, not a school kid on Army Experience Day that you have to tell what to do every 2 mins. avimal Posted June 26 Posted June 26 +1 It is the most tedious thing with George AI For the very least George should "remember" his last scan
Smashy Posted July 14 Posted July 14 https://forum.dcs.world/topic/280176-dcs-ah-64d-mini-updates/page/3/#comment-5670295 @VampireNZ - not exactly what you originally asked for but some slick improvements are on the way. George's new ability to engage multiple objects from a single target list gets pretty close to your original request. 3

Search in PFZ is something i never even thought to ask for. 1

George's new ability to engage multiple objects from a single target list gets pretty close to your original request. Pretty awesome news for sure! Also I would say that is pretty darn close (and better!) than my OP requests - specifically "If set to FREE FIRE, George will begin engaging if engagement parameters are met, and then automatically slew to the next target once the first target is destroyed, and immediately engage the next target (again, assuming engagement parameters are met).", which is pretty much what I was thinking he should be able to do, just used AK dude as example. Another thing that really annoyed me with G-Dog up front has also been addressed - namely "POINT - George slaves the TADS to the selected TSD point ..... If subsequently commanded to search for targets, George performs a momentary search for targets." Finally! I always thought if we are flying to a specific TGT area to engage target(s) at that area, why would the CPG NOT be looking at that area on the way in if nothing better to do! So yea very surprised and happy at the increase in capabilities of George, is a shame some ppl insist he should be stupid and 'not too good' else it is cheating. I mean there is a highly trained and competent human sitting there IRL doing a bunch of stuff as part of the crew, so the more of that we bring into DCS the better! If AI crew keep developing along this track I might be inclined to pickup the F-4, as I was just "Argg, awesome aircraft but dependent on AI crew again....nope" 2 Vampire
