need help got a error while reinstalling

i was reinstalling DCS BS...

 

an get a error saying setup was not successful (C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\DATA1.CAB (DATA1.CAB) Extact file.

 

do anyone one what this means an could you be kind to help me out please..

Thats an odd one, you do have the setup.exe and data1.cab in the same folder when you try to install, yes?

 

Both files can be downloaded from the website, if that's where you purchased it.

not sure..i bought mine the english downloable version rather then the cd version at that time when it just came out with DCS BS..

 

im also is clueless on what this error is that is preventing me to reinstall BS :(

Did you download BOTH files from the DOWNLOAD page?

And put them into the same directory? (for example C:\Temp or you desktop)

And then started setup.exe? (Do not extract the CAB / open it).

 

What OS/cpu/disk - more data about your computers (read the stickies).

yes i did what the instuctions said too..still same error:(

Uninstall, manually clear the registry of all relevant entries if required, reboot and download the files again. Place them in a folder on your desktop and run the setup.exe again and see if that solves the issue.

Someone else is having problems with the content on the DCS site there - might be some broken files:
