Hi guys I want to ask your opinoin on what operating system I should install once ive formatted my drive.

Its not my computer but rather my dads work computer which doesnt really need to run games or graphics intensive programs.

Its current specs are:

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 32bit

3.4Ghz Intel Pentium 4

1.5Gb RAM

80GB HD

Nvidea 7800 GT 512mb

I want to format it due to windows giving alot of problems including not updating to service pack 3. I have a spare Vista Business 32bit CD which came with my comp but didnt install it due to the many issues surrounding it.

So is it worth installing Vista(are the issues fixed) or will I have many compatability issues and will it be fine with two computers connected to it that are running XP.

Or should I just stick to XP?

Thanks alot in advance.

Sorry but your rig is too old and weak to handle Vista comfortable. You can install, however it won't be comfortable to you play games on this system. If you can get second hard disk get any (50 GB is enough) and test Vista. I did this - XP SP3 on one HD and I got second HD (40GB) from my friend to put on it Windows 7 for various tests ect.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D
