Oh I'm not using the keyboard keys....lol

I fly with an X52 flight system. no rudder pedals or FF which Sucks! for sure! but I am waiting for the Logitech release of there new setup.

decided to wait a bit on the whole thing of seperate rudders and a force feedback stick.

Unless one of you can give a real good setup recomendation that I might try. It will all cost a bunch anyway. never realized that there are not alot of good FF Joysticks. CH is good I here.

I just know that when I hit the arrow keys it moves my trim point as if I was doing it with the trim system. If I have my control inputs showing. in cockpit view. I don't really have to hit the trim key. just hit the arrow keys till it gets to where I want it to be. Kind of cool really. weird maybe, Do not know if it's right, but it works.

Yeah, it ... is and isn't right. Hard to explain.

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

I just wanted to voice my opinion that using ED's implementation of trim for flying with the keyboard works very well indeed. It's not very hard to fly the chopper via keyboard as one might think. Essentially all you do with the arrow keys is move your trimmed position of the cyclic, using Z and X changes your pedal input, but these aren't trimmed at all and resumes normal (untrimmed) position after you let go of the input. Very nice imho. Of course it's nothing compared to flying with a real stick, but personally, the only thing that really makes it hard to fly by keyboard is the collective control - it's not the most delicate instrument to use the + and - keys.

I think I've posted a track somewhere on the forums where I do a normal take-off and fly around the airbase and the land using only keyboard.
