dporter22 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Selecting snowplow mode either with two double presses or using the OSB no longer moves either TGP to -8 degrees down. It goes into snowplow mode, but doesn't move down. Always worked correctly before. No mods, no changes, etc. Any ideas?
dporter22 Posted yesterday at 12:41 AM Author Posted yesterday at 12:41 AM Still not working. Anyone else?
Muchocracker Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago It may have been removed as an inaccuracy at some point. Documents on the ATFLIR do not mention any snowplow function, only VVSL. At least the one that i have.
dporter22 Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago Possibly. But if that's true I wonder why it wasn't in the change logs, why no one else has mentioned it, and why it's discussed specifically in both the manual and most current Chuck's guide.
Muchocracker Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Changes get missed all the time (case in point the mk-80 series warheads change) I honestly never used snowplow when it did exist. Who knows when it got removed. Could have been years. Edited 23 hours ago by Muchocracker
dporter22 Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago Interesting that you don't use it. I use it all the time because that's how you get a stabilized ground-referenced view from which to find and designate targets if they aren't near a waypoint to designate.
Muchocracker Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) i always just used helmet designate over snowplow. Then scanned the horizon as i needed Edited 22 hours ago by Muchocracker

rob10 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Yes it's a "simple thing to recreate" in theory, but without a TRACK FILE you're not likely going to get any traction from ED on this (if only because with a track file they can instantly tell if there are any mods installed and stop there instead of wasting time trying to recreate it and discovering it was mod related so they can't -- not saying mods are the issue here, just an example of why the need for a trackfile).
