WTREG Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Hi All, Sorry to be a pain. Having issues on releasing dumb and Laser guided bombs in the AUTO delivery mode (Won't release, upon passing release cue) I usually follow this procedure: (Of course with gear up, flaps AUTO, Nozzles 0 degrees) A/G Mode Select weapon on stores page Mode auto Fuze set Quantity and interval set Master Arm ON Using a pre-selected coordinate, TPOD, or DMT to create a designated point. (Designated with TDC Down) Fly straight through the vertical line 10 seconds before drop, hold pickle, continue to hold through release line until weapon release... But, no weapon release. Quite a pain when trying to toss bomb, drop GBU's etc. I can provide a track if wanted. Thanks for any help, I love my little Harrier.
BJ55 Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Probably you missed the "Press the WP Increment button LONG (more than 0.8 sec) to transfer target coordinates to Target Point T0 and select T0." part. (Chuck's guide) Thanks for replying. I've given the Chucks guide process a thorough follow through but couldn't produce any weapon releases. It's rather odd! I used to be able to release every time, but it just stopped. I have fully uninstalled, then reinstalled the module to no avail. AV8BAUTOISSUE.trk
BJ55 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 (edited) I don't own the Germany CW map, so can't run the replay, on my end no LGB/GBU auto bombing issues. Do you use mods? I'll try to record a track on Cauc later on. I tried again today, adding the WPInc long to the procedure. No issues on LGB/GBU, similar to you. But, no release for MK81/2/3's No mods, other than the A4e community mod.
BJ55 Posted July 21 Posted July 21 I've tested all dumb bomb release modes with the attached mission and found no issues, put in active pause and configure the AC for the bomb run, tgt's are at 20nm. Try with removing the A-4E and performing a full DCS repair, if it still doesn't work post a track and a DCS log. BJ55 Posted July 22 Posted July 22 first and second track: no A/G master mode selected, no weapon selected through stores page, so no fuze settings applied. I7-12700F, 64GB DDR4 XMP1 3000MHz, Asus Z670M, MSI RTX 3070 2560x1440 60Hz, TIR 5, TM WH VPC base, TM rudder, Win10 Pro

Thank you, that's extremely strange, My screen recording shows different. What I'll do is try and select A/G from the game (I have a streamdeck linked, which usually acts as my mode selector) and see if it works. How odd
BJ55 Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Uh, DCS tracks are still bugged?! Try without Stream Deck and search in the dcs.log for errors. I7-12700F, 64GB DDR4 XMP1 3000MHz, Asus Z670M, MSI RTX 3070 2560x1440 60Hz, TIR 5, TM WH VPC base, TM rudder, Win10 Pro

I've had a peek through everything and can't see anything related to the issue. Only other thing installed was SRS, but I had removed that for a fresh install months before the issue, and re installed last night. It's had no effect. Again, thank you for the help - it's such an odd one, I had no trouble - until I did! I made a little video showing the issue.
BJ55 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I block everything from Google, so no chance to see the (ad infested) youtube, hope someone else take a look at it. Sorry. I7-12700F, 64GB DDR4 XMP1 3000MHz, Asus Z670M, MSI RTX 3070 2560x1440 60Hz, TIR 5, TM WH VPC base, TM rudder, Win10 Pro
Gunnar81 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I haven't flown the Harrier in a while, but maybe you should try only holding down the pickle button once the cue appears at 5 secs? I have a hunch that you are pickling waaaay to early. I seem to remember something from somewhere saying 5 secs from release depress pickle. Give that a try?

Give that a try? @BJ55 Issue was too little deadzone on my TDC Axis. Adding a couple of percent to that fixed my issues. Thankfully, I had a bit of direct help in the Razbam Discord. Thanks for your effort BJ55, I really appreciate the advice earlier on! 1

Having this exact issue but first noticed when trying to loft like I’ve done so many time before and now no longer working. westr Posted yesterday at 08:20 AM Posted yesterday at 08:20 AM (edited) Hi anyone else experiencing this? Bombs releasing in Auto/Laydown mode. I Tried again this morning and on first attempt bombs left the aircraft, but I realised I had set no fusing. 2nd attempt bombs would not release, so set fusing to safe again to attempt to recreate but after another go around again no release so I cant recreate that. I already have dead zone on TDC although I struggle to see why this would be a culprit but there is 100% and issue here on my setup. EDIT: I appear to have found another workaround if anyone is experiencing the same issue. If you adjust your bomb fall cue with a tap of TDC aft or forward it seems to give authorisation for the bombs to release. I have my TDC on an axis on my TM warthog same as I'm sure with most hotas users so I've had to assign a press switch for TDC Forward and AFT because the sensitivity of an axis throws the bombing cue way off. So after designating a waypoint as a target with the DESG button, the waypoint will change from circle to a diamond on the HUD, tap TDC forward with a press switch the diamond on the HUD will now have a circle around it, TDC AFT to place your bombing cue back onto its original assignment and now bombs are releasing, I've tried this now lofting (pulling at 3.0 nm 30 degree pull up) and shallow dive and level overfly release all are working.
