Hi folks.   After Years of great service, my Jetseat has finally waved a white flag and died. ( actually I ripped the cable out after getting it caught under my chair )

So I’m now in the market for a replacement. Since the Jetseat came out I see a few other options have appeared and sadly the Jetseat become harder to import.

Have any of you got any recommendations about which seat to pick up.    I would obviously want one that matches if not out performs the haptic feedback of the Jetseat.

Looking into them myself I’m thinking either jumping through hoops to import another Jetseat or the Next Level HF8 Pro.

I did try the original HF8 last year but found it to be rather disappointing compared to the Jetseat. Haptics felt weak and I couldn’t really get much feeling from rotors when starting up my Helos.

I understand the Pro is a significant upgrade from the original, BUT after my first experience I’m hesitant as there’s not a great deal of reviews out there for it.    Should I just stick with what I know.

software wise I obviously have the Simshakers for Aviators software for the Jeatseat, which I understand is also compatible with the HF8 pro.

Any advice from owners or either the latest Jetseat or the HF8 Pro would be highly appreciated.

Really? A quick search on YT threw a bunch of hits. It seems to be praised a lot. Watched a direct comparison a while back, that also tested it in DCS, while unfortunately most other reviews have racing in focus obviously.

Price has dropped from ≠USD350 to ≠USD220 here in Norway now. So I guess I'm getting one. 😉

The name escapes me, but I think there's another software that works with it in DCS too, while it's not free.

Cheers!

Sorry I meant being used with DCS. Quite a few reviews with racing sims I will admit.    However as it’s Specifically DCS I’ll be using it with, then it’s how it runs with that, which is important.  Hence asking the experts here, who will have the experience with DCS and the haptic seats.

Yeah, I'll look for some. I believe one user here has both.

Hey @rapid
Do I remember correctly that you had the HF8 and upgraded to the Pro? If yes, could you be so kind to comment the OP?

Cheers!

Indeed MAXsenna,

The Pro totally out shines the original HF8.

It is much more comfortable to sit on and the Heptic Motors have a much wider range with the added advantage of spinning up much faster.

Due to the added range of feed back you can tailor the sensation much more better than before along the software.

Thanks buddy! That's what I thought. After the price drop here, I'm seriously considering one.

@Cowboy10uk Hopefully this gives a little to go on, I'm sure Rapid will be more than happy to answer any question!

Cheers all!

Thanks for that @MAXsenna it’s much appreciated and @rapid for your quick review. I have managed to find a few vids on it showing it off for DCS and MSFS, so I think I might take a gamble on the Pro.   I do miss having the haptic feedback I used to get from the Jetseat so I do need to get that back somehow.

It HAS to be the Pro without a doubt!

Like I said the range is from 0- Ludicrous  i.e it will vibrate at an extreme level, Cant see anyone turning it up that high to be honest unless you want to rattle your bones.

The range gives you a wider scope in which to Taylor your feed back.

The material is much better and the motors spin up way faster so that there is no delay in feed back and feels better to sit on.

Cheers.
