Coordinates Cold War map wrong/off by *** metres/Nm ??

I'm not sure if it's actually wrong on the map, or my screwing up somewere :
So if some one else would have some time to check, it would be very appriciated.

I'm using history data, found on the internet, to (try) and figure out were units were stationed in Germany : the who and were etc.
So I found some coordinates of bases around  Fulda gap, yet they aren't  on the map so I'm just putting a icon in that position.

The thing is :
The whole positioning feels off to me.
For instance, if you check the coordinates for Sickels Army Airfield ( aka Fulda airfield) the coordinates of the "real" airfield and the airfield on the map, there's a 2,9+ Nm difference
Ludendorff Kaserne is in the middle of nowhere , north of Fulda, over the East German border in , well East Germany.
McPheeters Barracks in the middle of a village at the outskirt of Fulda.

Historical charts are off by like 10° in the year 1987...

10°? That's to much. Germany itself has a elongation under 10°

No, historical charts are off by 10° WITH DCS's historical change in magnetic deviation for that time.
Assuming that ED put in the correct deviation for that year (if that is their responsibility for the sim, Idk), then the Ugra media map is off by 10° for charts from the year I put in to the sim when creating my mission.

That would explain a lot, thanks 🫡

First of all, map coordinates are geographic, not magnetic, so magnetic declination has nothing to do with coordinates being wrong. The magnetic heading of a runway changes, but the coordinates don't.

I did a comparison of some landmarks in the mission editor and Google Earth, and they are all pretty much spot on (within a fraction of an arcsecond in most cases):

Spandau Citadel, Berlin:
Google Earth:	N 52°32'27.69"	E 13°12'45.51"
Mission editor:	N 52°32'27.63"	E 13°12'46.49"

Bridge near Hamburg Planetarium:
Google Earth:	N 53°35'28.36"	E 10°01'29.58"
Mission editor:	N 53°35'28.35"	E 10°01'30.16"

Mainspitze, west of Frankfurt:
Google Earth:	N 49°59'37.29"	E 8°17'38.38"
Mission editor:	N 49°59'36.82"	E 8°17'38.94"

Neues Rathaus, Hannover:
Google Earth:	N 52°22'01.74"	E 9°44'14.37"
Mission editor:	N 52°22'01.98"	E 9°44'14.67"

Fulda airfield:
Google Earth:	N 50°32'31.32"	E 9°38'20.91"
Mission editor:	N 50°32'33.14"	E 9°38'19.03"

Your right.
Magnetic declination effects compass use, yet it won't change map coordinates.
(I really wasn't awake yesterday)

Still doesn't explain why I'm seeing a 2,9Nm/5km difference between coordinates from internet for Ludendorff Kaserne/Downs Barracks, Sickel Army Airfield (Fulda airfield) and some other barracks, to what the coordinates are on the Cold War map.

I'll check again tommorrow, had my head stuck in Mission Editor the whole day.

I'm quit close to going full brain dead.

Both the airfield and the barracks are in their correct locations:
