So I decided to buy another PSVR2 to try it again with DFR, but how do I know if it's working, because I don't think it is. I've installed the PSVR2 toolkit and Quad-Views-Foveated but I'm not seeing any performance improvement. How do you check if it's working?

Also, a separate issue, the images looks very blurry and less sharp compared to my G2. What resolution should I have it set to in Steam to have it on par with the G2?

Thanks.

Turned on Quad Views in DCS as well presumably? Install this tool to configure it https://github.com/TallyMouse/QuadViewsCompanion. You can drop the focus multiplier and focal area right down and you should notice the difference if it's working (increase afterwards). Remember to restart DCS after making and saving any changes in the tool.

I installed the Quad Views Companion tool but now DCS won't start, it just hangs on the loading screen.

Thanks. I have it working now. It's ok if I launch it from the Steam library, but it hangs if I launch it from the DCS standalone desktop icon, although yesterday it was launching ok from the desktop, so I don't know what happened there.

I installed the Quad Views Companion and tried various settings, so I can see that foveated rendering is working, but eye tracking isn't. The foveated area is definitely moving wherever I look with the my head and not with my eyes. Have I missed a step or a piece of software?

@AlpineGTA Quad Views creates log files, what do they say?

Did you try to switch to SteamVR beta? (There was an issue in the public branch, can't tell if it's solved now)

The fix that was in SteamVR Beta is now in the mainstream SteamVR.

Hi all,

How does it compare to Pico 4 (I already have it)? Worth upgrading?
I have 5080, i12700k, 64GB RAM if it matters...

PS
If there is some Pico 4 topic with settings, I would appreciate if you point me there. I have 70fps and suddenly serious stuttering from nowhere (7-15fps) so I would like to read more to figure out how to deal with it.

Thanks!

I used this and the only thing it mentions is an expired certificate for quad_views_foveated

OpenXR - Toolkit is listed but that's disabled.

I'm also using Steam Beta, but mbucchia says that's in the mainstream SteamVR now anyway.

Any other things/suggestions that I could check to get eye tracking working?

Thanks for the help.

Best guess is your PSVR2 Toolkit isn't properly installed. Sadly I find that the author hasn't made it quite easy to install and test.

I would uninstall everything unnecessary first. (OpenXR toolkit for instance)

@proxlamus Can you please remove the step with installing "OpenXR Eye Trackers 1.2.2" from your first post? It's not needed anymore and might be the cause for some problems.

Right now you only need PSVR2toolkit and Quad Views Foveated, the rest comes already with SteamVR. In DCS tick the options for eye tracking and Quad Views.
In SteamVR's OpenXR settings check the following:
