Hicksy Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Hi, Can anyone tell me what the circular graphic thing to the right of this photo is and, more importantly, how to get rid of it? Thanks
razo+r Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago That doesn't look like it's coming from DCS. Were you running any other software besides DCS at the time of making that screenshot?

MAXsenna Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Hi, Can anyone tell me what the circular graphic thing to the right of this photo is and, more importantly, how to get rid of it? ThanksThat look like the all seing eye when "game mode" or something is enabled in the settings. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
Hicksy Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Hi to all that responded. Nothing new is running in the background, that hasn't always been there. The graphic first appears on the main options screen (Mission, Mission Editor, Campaigns etc.) and then stays there regadless of what I do. The pattern that's produced follows the position of where the sound originates. I've disabled/quit every app that's shown in Task Manager to no avail. The history is that it was working fine, but due to lack of storage space, the latest update failed. I then transferred the entire ED folder to a new drive, and the graphic appeared when I ran DCS. I then removed the app, and deleted the entire ED folder. I then reinstalled DCS from scratch, but the graphic remains! 1
scommander2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago As @razo+r said, I have not seen this in DCS from time-to-time (if). I will say why not post the dcs.log so that people can take look at it and find something. 1 Spoiler Dell XPS 9730, i9-13900H, DDR5 64GB, Discrete GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, 1+2TB M.2 SSD | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + TPR | TKIR5/TrackClipPro | Total Controls Multi-Function Button Box | Win 11 Pro
Hicksy Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Razo+r...you were absolutely correct! It's linked to Alienware's Sound app, not that I've ever touched a setting in it. Anyway, Audio Visualisation graphic is now a thing of the past. Many thanks for your help. 1
MAXsenna Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) 22 minutes ago, Hicksy said: I then reinstalled DCS from scratch, but the graphic remains! That IS a waste of time. Always perform a repair. My first comment was sort of a joke, but it does look like what one could see in old game modes, which was a setting. 22 minutes ago, Hicksy said: The pattern that's produced follows the position of where the sound originates. Now, why didn't you write this in the OP, because now I remember where I've seen it before. When others asked. I think it's something with your sound cards software. Which sound card and what software does it use? Cheers! EDIT: LOL, sniped exactly when I pressed send. Edited 3 hours ago by MAXsenna
