Swallow Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Dear Sirs, I'm currently struggling with my VR setting. My system specs are I9 11900k, 64 GB RAM, GTX 3080TI and a Pico 4 for VR missions. I would be happy to get some support on these two questions: 1. Using Total Commander I have two buttons to start DCS, one for 2D and another one for 3D. Both work well, however, the setting profiles need to be changed manually. Is it possible to launch 3D with a different profile that 2D. If yes, how can I do this. 2. Showing the fps rates using ctrl + pause only 36 fps for 3D. I'm wondering why I get only 36 fps during the 3D game? The setting in Virtual DT is 72 MHz. Thank you very much for your help and Kind regards Achim

The setting in Virtual DT is 72 MHz. It looks like you have re-projection (SSW, or Synchronous Space Warp) enabled. This will half the frame rate and insert extra frames to keep 72Hz. In VD look for the setting SSW enabled, disabled and automatic in the headset VD menu and set it to "disabled". The you will see your actual FPS. Swallow Posted August 25 Author Posted August 25 Hi Qcumber, many thanks for your kind advice. And yes, this was the issue. May I ask what is the impact of this setting? BR Achim
OstGoth Posted yesterday at 12:59 PM Posted yesterday at 12:59 PM Hi Swallow, Reprojection helps your VR headset stay smooth by creating extra “in-between” frames when your PC can’t keep up. This means you still see motion at the full refresh rate, even if your computer is only rendering half the frames. The trade-off is that you might notice small visual glitches, like wobbling or ghosting, during fast movement.
