Cuma Posted yesterday at 01:41 AM Posted yesterday at 01:41 AM Hi Everyone Its my first time setting up an hybrid head tracker. I'm using Beam eye tracker and open track. I would like to use the tracker just for the zoom in/out (Z axle) and still the Joystick controller to move my view around. On the external view (F2) works, but inside the cockpit (F1) the joystick controller is not working, only the Zoom in/out when i move my head. Any idea on how can i do that? Thanks

Cuma Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Hi MAXsenna! I'm still very green with DCS. I feel I'm "shaking" too much, and I have some difficulty pressing knob or button in the cockpit. Instead with a fix view and help with the zoom I feel more comfortable. Example in the FA18 I have difficulty operating the radar because of all the shaking in the view. I realize as well that I can't look behind me because of restriction in my head movement. Thanks for the reply Any suggestion? Edited 6 hours ago by Cuma
pete_auau Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago dont know about your version, Iam using tr i can map my view in which in can view to the right and left 110degrees roughly, also i can also pause the track ir if needed in one spot so you cant do this in your set up

It shouldn’t be necessary to disable head tracking like that in order to use the cockpit. 2 i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | T.Flight Rudder Pedals | TrackIR 5

Maybe someone can post their OpenTrack profile for you to start with. My computer's dead, or l would've given you mine. What you need to do, is setup curves in your axis settings, so when you move a little the view is slow, while when you move the view further it moves faster so to speak, so you can see more without popping your eyes out. But most importantly, to get rid of the shaking, you need some deadzones. And don't use the X axis for zoom. It's better to use some other buttons/axis on other peripherals for that.Cheers!
