Astralox65 Posted yesterday at 01:58 AM Posted yesterday at 01:58 AM I have to say, the tinted helmet visor in the MiG-29 is absolutely phenomenal. It completely transforms the flying experience, especially at noon when the sun is at its peak and everything usually looks washed out and overly bright. With the visor down, the visuals are not only much easier on the eyes, but the whole atmosphere looks fantastic. Flying under a strong midday sun has become a really immersive and enjoyable experience now. Huge props to whoever implemented the tinted visor! You guys nailed it! 7
Lord_Pyro Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago In VR it's not so great actually. Compared to the F15E that is. I tend to leave it off where in the eagle i almost always use it. 1 [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic70340_1.gif[/sIGPIC]

I'm currently messing around with making the tint less dark and tweaking the normal map to make it less "glare-y".

The work was certainly interesting in several respects (animations, 3D effect, some degree of reflections), but as a whole it only lends itself to one change and should be treated as a problem to be solved. Most likely, the creator of this particular part never wore a helmet or used a visor ;P. The visor isn't intended to hinder the pilot, and in its current version, it would become downright dangerous. The idea is cool, but it requires tuning. Fortunately, it's just a texture tweak. 1 Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro
