Switch to Dream Air or super Micro Oled

Recommended Posts

Hi, just got the notification that my Crystal Super has completed production phase (switched to ultra wide) and I just looked at some through the lens footage of the micro oled dream air and it looked great.  Given the problems that I have read about on hear with the oled version, I am wondering if I should switch to the Micro oled optical engine or just switch to the dream air given its lighter form factor.

Would love to hear peoples opinions.

The specs for the Dream Air look spot on.
I’m still seeing far too many complaints about the Pimax solution to blow £1k on a maybe.
I’m going to wait to see some balanced reviews before making a decision, ie not some sponsored video by an influencer

The Dream Air SE looks good too. Half the price of the Dream Air.

I have been looking around for something new, on Varjo Aero since they cane out.

Resolution is good enough, but the colors is not super so.

I know eye tracking for foveated rendering is A and O, and have started to think ”OLED”.

I had the 8kX but newer foubd it working in DCS with the low PPD. Couldn’t read the gages. (had reverb g1 before 8kX which was a step back).

The Dream Air looks just right. I think the SE version will do it as well,  but I went for the Dream Air.

I want the Dream Air too but the extra 1k seems a bit steep. I'm not in a rush so I'll see how things look in Jan 26.
