Migparts Posted Sunday at 07:36 PM Posted Sunday at 07:36 PM Due to my poor landing techniques I manage to always damage the gear on landing, however when I perform the ground crew repair at the moment the aircraft is dropped to the apron the landing gear fails again, leading me to believe that maybe the design has too fragile gears. Could this be fixed or the gear strengthened? George
AeriaGloria Posted Sunday at 07:39 PM Posted Sunday at 07:39 PM You should land closer to 300 kmh pre flare. That’s how real pilots do it. Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
Migparts Posted Sunday at 08:13 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:13 PM Accept my poor landing technique causes landing gear failure, but why does the landing gear fail again after it has been repaired and the aircraft is 'dropped' by DCS software on the apron? Shouldn't it be robust enough not to break during the repair process??? George
Solution AdrianL Posted Sunday at 08:15 PM Solution Posted Sunday at 08:15 PM (edited) 2 minutes ago, Migparts said: the aircraft is 'dropped' by DCS software on the apron This is noted as a known issue in the patch notes. When repairing after a wheels up landing, the repair completes, but the landing gear is not lowered, so after repair you are dropped back on your belly, negating the repair.
