element1108 Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 I'm REALLY curious as to what ED will bring to the LOMAC table in their announced "update". REALLY curious, the kind of curiosity that's only rivaled by a young child new in the world and to his own existence. I'm not one for speculating, but I'd be curious to what the community thinks ED will include in this "update". Will it be the 1.13 patch? It sound to me from their announcement that it's fairly substantial.

jpm1 Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 new map and new units i pay for it . didn't know there was an update inbound for FC it's a bit normal it has been posted in DCS forum and i don't have DCS . why i don't have DCS because it just has the wrong amphibian SU-25 missions [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RedTiger Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I'm VERY curious too and I think it was rather gracious of them to put aside some capacity to work on a DCS module to provide an update to Flaming Cliffs. I'm hoping for some fixes for the missile problems we all know and love and maybe some newer FM or upgraded realism for the avionics. 6DOF would be nice, but I don't think it would work so well with the way the LOMAC cockpits are, which is largely 2D. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm excited.

Guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm excited. Don't count on 6dof, though I think putting a roll axis on it would be kinda cool! I'm sure it will be a large improvement, especially if they're delaying DCS:Warthog a bit to do it: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=734354&postcount=65 I'm thinking missiles and ECM will see the major changes, but this is all just speculation. It's what it is, and continued specualtion is not going to do anything to make it come faster. DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
element1108 Posted August 23, 2009 Author Posted August 23, 2009 Wags said not to be discussed 'til it happens: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=42593 Shoot that's right man I forgot about that update aspect. Again I don't mean to speculate (although that's what this is I suppose) but general curiosity got the better of me. I was floored when I read wags statement announcing an update for LOMAC. Flaming Cliffs MADE lock on in my opinion, the SU-25T is an outstanding model with great flight dynamics. Just curious to see what they'll bring to the table, excited for the series and the DCS series...they're the only ones I'm counting on these days for the market support. FSX is kaput and fighter ops and jet thunder both seem to be eons from a possible release. I don't know what it is about NEW sims in development...I'm super satisfied with Black Shark, but when I hear A-10 or AH-64A or F-16, MIG 29, SU 33 in the mix my anticipation gets the better of me ;)
jpm1 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I'm VERY curious too and I think it was rather gracious of them to put aside some capacity to work on a DCS module to provide an update to Flaming Cliffs... planes sim and helos sim are close things but not similar . i played several helos sims (Thunderhawk series , KA-52 : TA) helos sims are more harcore gaming the missions are longer you need to always be careful the lesser lack of concentration can be fatal . when you succeed you really have the feeling to have accomplished something , it's very gratifying but it's harder it's more "difficult physically" . as long as there aren't planes modules in DCS (i know to create a quality thing it takes time) there'll be Lock on players SU-25 missions [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
