Track Replay - an Alternate Reality

Had a close call in a big fur-ball flying the P-51D-25, tracers all over me, but no hits.

So decided to run a Track replay, to see who was the culprit, friend or foe.

Track took me to the spot - and then the A/C was lit up like a Christmas tree, oil on the windscreen, the works.

But continued through the routine, power, with no engine.

This also explains why the gun targets are "invisible."

Because they aren't there at all, in the alternate reality of the Track.

 

This is a new install, down to the desktop icons, sans the latest update.

hello

tracks are notorious for being inaccurate. it has been this way for ages. i have found in my case, disconnecting your controllers to run the track. that way there is no input on your AC. maybe it is placebo. seems to work.

I've noticed the same; that said, it shouldn't be this way...whether it's DCS that offers a true in-game replay or a third party, DCS needs it.  Tacview can give a great overview of the mission, but it's different from a video-quality reproduction.  I'd pay for a 3rd-party tool.
