DSMS and attack run issues in Iron Flag Mission 8

I've had two issues with this particular mission:

1) I've tried reloading the mission, restarting DCS, rebooting my PC multiple times, but every time, the mission loads with a blank DSMS even though weapons are actually loaded on the aircraft and visible on the exterior view. Have even tried reloading the DSMS from the right MFCD, and also re-arming the aircraft, but that hasn't worked either. If I set the Master Arm to "Training," I can see stations 2, 3, 4, 8, and 9 loaded in red, with stations 1, 10, and 11 in green, but when I switch Master Arm back to Safe or Arm, the stations blank out again. I haven't done anything to the loadout...this is the mission as it comes. What could be the issue?

2) When I finally get to the range to begin my attack run on the instructed "east to west" (with instructions indicating heading of 270 plus or minus 30 degrees final attack heading), I roll out on heading 270 and receive "abort, abort, abort, you're flying in the wrong direction." If I do it again flying a heading of 090 (west to east), all goes well.

I ran the mission and the loadout shows up fine in the DSMS for me. Also tried cycling Master Arm to all 3 positions (as instructed by the IP), and the loadout is always fine in the DSMS for me.

I ran the mission through all the gun runs, and always ran in as instructed from east to west (except for the bunker gun runs later on, which are indeed west to east) and never got a single "Abort" call.

So as far as I can tell, the mission as such should be fine and I have no idea what could be causing these issues.

However, if you have any DCS mods, you should remove them prior to running any campaign mission, they can and do cause all sorts of issues. Mod managers like OVGME work really well here.

Another thing you can try is to delete this particular mission from C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\campaigns\A-10C Iron Flag Part I\Iron Flag M08.miz and then run a DCS repair, which should replace the mission file with a fresh copy (and also make sure everything else in your DCS installation directory is clean).

Finally, if none of this helps, it might help to rename your Saved Games\DCS directory and let DCS create a fresh one on the next DCS launch. You can copy your Config\Input folder and your Mission Editor\logbook.lua over to the new folder so you don't lose any of these.

Does the issue still persist after taking all of these steps?
