sokunj Posted Sunday at 12:00 PM Posted Sunday at 12:00 PM Hi, yesterday I tried to dial in the frequency 140.5 AM and noticed it still showing as FM. although this is an AM band. For example 133.0 shows correctly as AM.. Looks like a bug to me..
Solution Yurgon Posted Sunday at 01:33 PM Solution Posted Sunday at 01:33 PM (edited) That is actually correct as is, based on publicly available information on the ARC-210 radio. Unfortunately the radio is completely undocumented in the DCS A-10C II manual, however there is an excellent guide from Stuka and the 476 vFG that you can find here: Of note, in the frequency range from 136.000 MHz to 155.975 MHz, the ARC-210 defaults to frequency modulation but allows for a manual switch to amplitude modulation, while the lower frequencies from 108 MHz to 135.975 MHz default to amplitude modulation. You can toggle the modulation with the AM/FM switch on the ARC-210 control head, you can set it in the preset tab in the Mission Editor, and you can toggle it in the COMM -> ARC-210 PRESETS MFCD page. Edit: Oh, and welcome to the forum! Edited Sunday at 02:17 PM by Yurgon Typo 1
sokunj Posted Sunday at 06:36 PM Author Posted Sunday at 06:36 PM (edited) Thank you, I'll check it out tomorrow. Didn't know you can change AM/FM manually. Didn't find a button for that. OMG.. as soon as I opened up this Manual I emediately saw that button ! Of course I started the sim right up and checked it. It's located right near the seat wall, in a way you just can't see it with Track IR. Thanks Again for your complete answer. Edited Sunday at 06:46 PM by sokunj Rechecked the answer in DCS 2
