Gogsie59 Posted Friday at 08:59 AM Posted Friday at 08:59 AM I've been trying for days to update to the latest build without success. The download speed goes down to kbs instead of normal mbs and then sits on zero with a small speed increase to 1mbs every now and again. The drive has 700gb free space and I've never experienced this problem before. Other downloads for other games are all working as expected so my internet download speed is fine. I don't have the fastest internet in my area (10mbs) but it's the fastest I can get here. Anyone else had this problem with the latest update?
sleighzy Posted Friday at 09:07 AM Posted Friday at 09:07 AM 1. Downloading to a fast internal SSD? 2. Added a folder exclusion in your antivirus software, e.g. Windows Defender, for the top level DCS installation folder (and restarted PC afterwards)? 3. Possibly your ISP is throttling traffic for this. Tried with a VPN as well? AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2

As for throttling its certainly not happened before, and I downloaded a 56gb update to a steam game after giving up with the dcs update and it updated quickly.
Solution Gogsie59 Posted Friday at 09:50 AM Author Solution Posted Friday at 09:50 AM Cancel, I had started the update the third time this morning and went to my PC after BigN asked for the log file and guess what, it was updating fine. Now installed and working great. All very strange but all's well that ends well. Thanks for the help, and apologies for wasting your time. Grant.
