AndySonOfBob Posted November 4 Posted November 4 At the moment my head controls the cursor as well as the mouse. Is there a way to stop my HMD from moving the cursor? It is really frustrating having to keep my head still in order to press the fiddly buttons I can't seem to find a control that prevents my head from controlling the cursor, any idea what I am doing wrong? Alternatively, is there a way to control the cursor using an analogue thumb stick on the stick? Again without my head moving the mouse. Thanks
sleighzy Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Nope. Known problem with a few requests to change this behaviour, or have another option. You get used to it after a while. One technique is mouse to the area, and then you can use fine head movements for clicking around buttons, e.g. KDU on the Apache etc. 1 AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
AndySonOfBob Posted November 4 Author Posted November 4 Ugh Oh well, I will just have to get used to it Can I use a thumbstick on my HOTAS to control the cursor instead of mouse?

And there are various alternatives to mice you can wear in your fingers. I've yet to try one, but I will. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
Nodak Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM You don't need third party software, the mouse action key binds are in one of the universal UI key sections. You can bind right and left click to any directX stick button.

Now, how would you do that without 3rd party software? It would be cool if the feature was native, but I've never seen how.Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
Nodak Posted yesterday at 02:38 PM Posted yesterday at 02:38 PM You don't have to move it and you can't, but you can directly center the mouse cross in your cockpit view and as long as you never move your mouse while in cockpit it will stay right there in your view center. Now after the mouse does its disappearance act you can click one of the mouse assigned buttons on your stick, the cross reappears, put it over the switch you wish to manipulate by looking directly at it and use the left, right, or hold and drag stick button to manipulate it however you want.

Are you using any modifiers so you don't waste too many buttons on mouse features?Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
